Habitat for Humanity Roaring Fork Valley is a proud partner of the Basalt Vista Affordable Housing Partnership. The Basalt Vista project will provide Roaring Fork Valley teachers and local workers with the opportunity to own a home and raise a family in their community.
As Roaring Fork School District board member, Matt Hamilton, put it in the video below, “The Basalt Vista project does that. We’re providing affordable options for our teachers to move from rental to ownership, and that’s really the first step to put down roots in the community. And that’s a huge value to our students and our community over the long-term.”
The Basalt Vista Affordable Housing Partnership is a partnership between Habitat for Humanity Roaring Fork Valley, Roaring Fork RE-1 School District, the Town of Basalt, and Pitkin County.
We’re building the homes behind Basalt High School on 4.5 acres of land owned and donated by the Roaring Fork School District.
We broke ground on the project in June and the first nine units will start becoming available for sale in March 2019.
